ARDS Instruction
at Castle Combe
ARDS Coaching by John Norrington
An ARDS training session with John could be part of a dedicated ARDS test/training day at Castle Combe.
An ARDS (Association of Racing Drivers Schools) test must be completed by anyone wishing to gain the competition licence required to compete as a racing driver in the UK.
ARDS courses are run at registered ARDS member schools run at race circuits across the UK. John Norrington is hugely experienced in ARDS instruction and regularly works at the Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire. John also travels to many other circuits across the UK.
John’s relaxed and considered approach, as well as his 10 plus teaching experience, is the perfect environment to help aspiring drivers through the ARDS test. John offers pre-assessment and training in preparation for the ARDS test including the correct driving position, braking technique, gear changing, optimisation of steering, and correct use of engine power. Racing lines will be explained and you will be coached in circuit safety and awareness. Race procedure will be explained including lights and flag signals, their importance and meaning.
An ARDS training session with John could be part of a dedicated ARDS test/training day at Castle Combe. Alternatively, training can be given privately on another occasion in preparation for an ARDS test.
